Preparing for more normality
Throughout the Pandemic, many of us have become all too familiar with the regular press conferences from Downing Street and last night, the nation gathered in front of their televisions to receive the news we’ve all been waiting for.
The delay to the lifting of lockdown restrictions dealt a significant blow to several events and figures within the hospitality industry, but the update given by the Prime minister yesterday was met with a huge sigh of relief as we begin to look towards the future where more normality will resume.
A lot has changed since this type of freedom will have been experienced across the nation and with that comes several challenges to ensure that this transition is as smooth as possible.
As a company who operate in several different contexts and industries, we are driven by delivering a flexible service where our range of clients receive an experience specifically tailored to their needs, which is available at all times.
This means, that the service offered by UBU Environmental can be highly reactive, although through speaking with our dedicated hire desk team and planning proactively, we have a wealth of experience in collaborating with our customers to deliver their own business offerings smoothly and efficiently.
Below, we take a look at some of the areas which we’ve hugely missed operating in, as well as other locations where you may see our sweepers popping up more often as restrictions ease!
Festivals
After missing out on two festival seasons, many are expected to make their long-awaited return following yesterdays update and organisers have had to become very flexible in ensuring they can deliver a festival to remember.
The initial preparation of a site to get it ready for hosting a festival can be a stressful period for organisers where strict deadlines are constantly having to be met, so to give them peace of mind, our hire desk will always seek as much detail as possible so that we can schedule our arrivals based on the organisers specific requirements.
From cleaning surrounding areas to give festivalgoers that long-lasting first impression, ensuring that drains are clear to prevent any flooding or transporting large quantities of fresh water to tanks or bowsers on site, UBU’s range of vehicles means that we are able to help get your site festival ready in more ways than one. We’ll even help you clean up afterwards!
New season fever
As we have seen with certain venues during Euro 2020, the return of full capacity crowds has really recaptured the imaginations of supporters who have been longing for that match day experience of years gone by.
This sudden increase in the number of spectators at sporting venues will certainly excite facilities managers around the country and with several notable venues in the North West, UBU are perfectly positioned to support some of these fine sites.
Due to their size, road sweepers present a time efficient solution to cleaning car parks and other vast areas surrounding these venues and thanks to our precinct sweepers, we are also able to safely operate both indoors and in much smaller areas.
It’s a full house!
Now that hospitality venues are set to be allowed to operate with fewer restrictions in place, it will come as no surprise that even more people will flock to bars and restaurants to experience the closest thing to a night out that they have had in over two years.
As everywhere looks set to be nearing maximum capacity on the opening weekend of restrictions lifting, businesses will be keen to ensure that they are well stocked to supply this demand and could potentially overlook the care of their surrounding areas when they know that this surge will happen regardless.
The upkeep of your venue’s exterior and surrounding areas can prove invaluable to customer retention and from our road sweepers powerful on board water jetting system to their high-performance brushes and pick up, they are perfect for any exterior cleaning or maintenance, giving you the time to focus on welcoming more customers inside!
Jet Setting
Obviously, due to the nature and risks associated with Covid-19, travelling to different areas let alone countries has become alien to the majority around the world.
Having dealt huge blows to the travel industry, the addition of more areas to the Green Travel List and reports suggesting that those who have been fully vaccinated may be able to travel to Amber List countries without the need to self isolate have been met with open arms as the industry looks to accelerate its recovery.
The lack of travel options for customers has meant that the majority of airports have been operating at reduced capacity, with large airports even closing some of their runways.
As the plans for the vaccinated to be allowed to travel gain momentum and more areas are added to the Green Travel List, demand is expected to surge meaning that those responsible for the upkeep of airports must remain on their toes.
Due to the safety critical nature of airports, UBU ensures that we are sending out the highest standard of vehicle, which will have received Airport specific “CAP” tests so that they can access all areas safely.
The range of vehicles managed by UBU also means that we are able to dispatch the right vehicle based on your bespoke needs and no matter what vehicles you hire from us, a highly skilled operative will always come as standard.
